Finima Nature Park is committed to advocating for the protection of Nigeria’s natural environment, wetlands and biodiversity at both local and international levels.

We work closely with Wetlands Link International, one of the world’s leading wetland conservation networks, and are proud to be one of only two certified Wetlands Education Centres in Nigeria. In 2022 we were named a Star Wetland Visitor Centre, a distinction held by just 23 sites worldwide.

Our advocacy efforts include raising awareness about the importance of mangrove forests and wetland ecosystems, supporting policy development around environmental protection in the Niger Delta, partnering with schools and universities to educate the next generation of conservationists, and collaborating with NLNG and other stakeholders to ensure the long-term sustainability of the park.
