Finima Nature Park is dedicated to the conservation, protection and celebration of Nigeria’s natural environment. Here is what we do:
Conservation & Wildlife Protection — We actively protect and preserve the diverse species that call Finima home, including the endangered African Grey Parrot, saltwater hippos, crocodiles, alligators and hundreds of bird and plant species native to the Niger Delta region.
Environmental Education — We run guided educational programmes for schools, universities and corporate groups, helping visitors understand the importance of wetlands, biodiversity and conservation. Finima is one of only two certified Wetlands Education Centres in Nigeria.
Ecotourism & Visitor Experience — We welcome visitors for guided nature walks, kayaking, forest trails and the iconic Bush Hut experience. Every visit is an opportunity to reconnect with nature and create lasting memories.
Advocacy & Research — We partner with international organisations including Wetlands Link International to advance conservation research, policy and awareness both locally and globally.
Community Engagement — We work closely with the Bonny Island community to promote environmental awareness, responsible tourism and the long-term sustainability of the park’s ecosystem.
